A is for artichoke. Who likes artichokes? I've only had them in salads and pizzas, stuffed and steamed with aioli sauce. I think they are difficult to prepare.
Not something I yearn for but I have some Jerusalem artichokes growing along the back fence that are almost impossible to get rid of - they give good shade and I am not sure what their relationship is to the artichokes you use in salads, being a root crop....

i like artichokes, even my kids do! i just steam them. my husband likes to dip them in mayo but the kids and i use melted butter, yummy!
ReplyDeleteI've had them as a starter in anti pasta blanched the served with some decent virgin olive oil, quite pleasant especially with salami and Parma Ham,

I like artichokes but mainly because I eat them with butter and I LOVE butter!
