Months ago I stumbled upon a word -
rupestrine which means living or growing on or among rocks. So I wrote the word into a post-it and attached it to my calendar at work. I see it every single day and wondered when I would be able to use the word for
ABC Wednesday. Well, now is that time and I'm happy to share this word I learned.
You found a great shot to represent the new word you taught us today!
ReplyDeleteNew word for me too.
ReplyDeleteYour photo is a perfect example of RUPESTRINE.
Spellcheck doesn't like that spelling..(:0)
so you see.... everything happens for a reasons, even if that reason is not obvious at the moment of happening
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful ABC-day / - week

Great word and I like the shot.
ReplyDeleteA great new word coupled with an equally amazing picture!
ReplyDeleteFor me also a great new word!! I wonder if the trees that grow in the rocks in Norway, are also called rupe strine!
ReplyDeleteThat is a new word, but not the concept. The mountains around here are Rife with growing plants amongst the stone.
ReplyDeleteWow rocking word for R :)
ReplyDeleteI like how you saved it up for this meme. :)
Happy ABCW!
