We have pop-up KIOSKS around the City of Liverpool UK. They serve many purposes including tourist information and charity concerns. I like the ones that sell different foods from all over the world, an inexpensive way to dine on a sunny day. Best wishes, Di. ABCW team.
They bought a small trailer in my home town to tow around as a portable tourist kiosk during the warmer summer months. That way they can take it to the many events and festivals that we have to encourage tourists to visit. This year we are having a loggers spots event that should bring a big crowd and even be televised. - Margy
indeed they are... although they try very hard to sell something like excursions and so on..

I have never been in Barcelona, so I must try it one of these days.

We have kiosks everywhere in malls and by the ferry terminals and at the fairs, etc. They're really helpful.

I love the word kiosk too which comes to us from Persian and Turkish.
