Looking at these photo's ... i totaly agree with you... but to me its everyday-visions ... If you ever travel to The Netherlands you should visit the cities with the hanging kitchens.... quit impressive.
Have a nice ABC-Wednes-day / - week ♫ M e l ☺ d y ♫ (abc-w-team)
I absolutely love those photos. So much character in the laundry hanging from the windows. My Mom always hung her clothes on a line in the backyard. they smelled so fresh.
I miss a clothes line - everything smells so fresh and airy. In the winter, when I was a child, it was a struggle to get frozen sheets off the clothesline, - but worth it...
I think it is forbidden to hang the laundry on a balcony in certain areas in town in my country. Many people dry their clothes indoors. I have seen it in Asia, but not in the north European countries. Wil, ABCWTeam

It makes everything so quaint. My mother always hung clothes out to dry on the clothes lines in their back yard when I was a youngster.

I suppose if you life in a high-rise you don't have any other option but to hang your washing on the balcony to dry.
