I googled it, it means railroad. Funny, I don't recall seeing a railroad when I was in Venice. Understandable when there's way too beauty that required my attention.
I'd have been tempted to follow the arrow the Orient Express might have been in town, or should I say station. I don't know where the railway station is but curiosity roused I perused the map and it looks as though it might be a super journey over the sea from the mainland into Sant Croce. I like the big tickets you get on Italian railways.
I would not expect to see a railroad in Venice!
