When we lived in California, Oakland was one of our favourite destinations in our small plane. We could walk from the airport to the hotel. From the hotel, we could get a free ride to the BART. And the BART would take us into San Francisco without all of the hassle of driving into town. And Oakland also had a nice waterfront area with restaurants. Kind of miss it. - Margy
In WWII went to Oakland to pick up a ship. Met a girl; we took a boat out on Lake Merritt. Could that have been all those decades ago..?

Great cityscapes. I especially like the second photo, with the contrast betweent the light coloured buildings and that intense blue sky.
