The flower in mine you asked about looks like crepe myrtle but it's the wrong season to be blooming but I think it might have been a late blooming branch.
This beauty really belongs in black and white; it is from the right era! And how lacy and intricate it is. Lovely old home well kept up -- I like it a lot.
My first thought was Ferndale at first glance, then wondered if it was in San Francisco by the Golden Gate Park. Your black and white photo really shows off the details. Very nice.
